It was the final Boudin Barndance of April this evening and we continued to strive to deliver the goods like we always have since 1987. Anniversary #28 is in a few weeks and boy has the time flown. A couple of “spotlight” items on the menu tonight including a birthday salute to Willie Nelson and a feature on the final release from Rhode Island-based duo Brown Bird. It is one powerful finale. R.I.P. Dave Lamb. New and recent releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Shelby Lynne, Jesse Lafser, The Staves, Eilen Jewell, Brown Bird, Low Cut Connie (in Providence at Fete on May 8), Alabama Shakes (with the Billboard #1 album), The Baseball Project (RSD EP), and The Minus 5.
