Being Cinco de Mayo eve, we dedicated the last two sets of the Boudin Barndance
this evening to a slew of Tex-Mex sounds with releases courtesy of the Arhoolie
and Rounder record labels. Sprinkled in a bunch of cuts from Chris Mills who
plays a house in these parts on Saturday night hosted by yours truly. Also, a
bunch of releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time this
evening including new ones from Casey Driessen, The Minus 5, The Hoyle Brothers,
Tennessee Rounders, and Miss Lauren Marie. Buttshaker of the night????? Joe
Carson takes top honors with a primer to lovemaking called “I’ll Do the Dishes”.
