What with Cinco de Mayo this past Monday, we did a belated celebration on
the Boudin Barndance this evening dedicating the last 45 minutes of the
program to Tejano roots music courtesy of Arhoolie Records. We also
featured music from Blue Mountain who play a house concert hosted by yours
truly on Sunday afternoon. We are very excited, to say the least. New
releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums
from Laura Cantrell, Miss Lauren Marie, Johnny Lyon, Band of Heathens, and
Dan Colehour. Buttshaker of the week???? Roy Hall with Grady Martin on
guitar doing “Three Alley Cats”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to
the goods….
