The main features on tonight’s Boudin Barndance were previewing music from
two performers in the area this weekend, Mavis Staples who plays at the
Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA (www.ncfta.org) on Saturday
night and Wayne “The Train” Hancock who appears at the Bank Street Cafe
(www.bankstreetcafe.com) in New London, CT, also on Saturday night. Still
on a Blue Mountain high after last Sunday’s pretty darn excellent house concert, we
couldn’t resist a little BM redux just after our listings. New releases
making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from
Pinetop Perkins, Mike Zito, Stephen Clair, and Firewater. Buttshaker of the
week???? Madman Jones takes the big salami with “One Mo’ Time”. Now let’s
