Let’s label this evening’s Boudin Barndance one of them “playing the field” nights. Following a R&B and blues-dominated couple of sets to get things going, began sampling a host of new releases many of which were receiving their inaugural Barndance spin. These included releases from Irma Thomas, Charlie Musselwhite, the Elvis Costello/Allan Toussaint collaboration, Tab Benoit, Danielle Howle, Annie Keating, Teddy Thompson, Chatham County Line, Allison Moorer, Weed Patch, Texas Sapphires, Slaid Cleaves, Daniel Johnston, and DeSoto Rust.
