Back in the saddle after a week off to trek back & forth to West Lafayette, Indiana to watch our oldest successfully conclude eight long years and earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. The Boudin Barndance has been with her every step of the way. In honor of the occasion, we could not resist playing Corb Lund’s “Talkin’ Veterinarian Blues”. Previewed Christine Ohlman’s show at The Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly this Saturday and gave away a pair of tix. Beyond that, it was a night of “playin’ the field.” A bunch of releases making their Barndance debut tonight including new ones from J. Shogren, Legendary Shack Shakers, Rudy Grayzell, Stone River Boys, Susan Cowsill, Samantha Crain, and Peter Parcek. Buttshaker of the week???? From Cuca Records, The Voodoos with “The Voodoo Walk”. Oh yeah, this evening marked 23 years on the air on WRIU for The Boudin Barndance. Congratulations to us! Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
