The first Boudin Barndance of June had a heavy focus on new and recent releases. We did preview some music from Brooklyn-based duo Kaiser Cartel who play a house concert hosted by yours truly on Saturday (www.myspace.com/rootshoot). Speaking of those new releases, albums from Owen Temple, The Belleville Outfit, Kendel Carson, Tractors, Jonathan Kane, The Wippets, Todd Snider, Samantha Crain & the Midnight Shivers, Patterson Hood, Ray Mason, and Larry Lange & the Lonely Knights all made their Barndance debut. Buttshaker of the week???? The Fleshtones take the honors with “Keelee’s Twist”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
