Busy night on the Barndance. Previewed area shows this weekend featuring Lori
McKenna (Cafe Fantastique in Worcester on Saturday), Teri Hendrix (Capo Club in
Lowell, MA on Sunday), and Eric Hisaw (Cafe Fantastique in Worcester on Saturday
and a house concert here in South Kingstown, RI on Sunday). Also featured a few
tunes from a couple of bands (The Paladins, Gamma Rays) playing the Hot Rod &
Rockabilly Rumble in East Hartford, CT on 7/16-7/17 (www.theroadagents.com for
info). Featured a short set of music from GP what with this weekend the tribute
concerts out in California. Releases making their Barndance debuts tonight
included new ones from Tres Chicas, I See Hawks In LA, Thee Shams, Old 97s, and
Reverend Horton Heat. Buttshaker of the night????? The Paladins with “Hot Rod
Rockin”.
Oh yeah, Jimmy Ryan (Blood Oranges, Wooden Leg) will be performing live on the
Barndance next week during the 8 – 9 PM hour, so tune in. Now onto the
