Relief tonight from the hot muggy weather here in R.I. was the air conditioned
WRIU studio where we got down to some Boudin Barndance action. An odds and ends
night. In the spotlight was the new album from Austin honky tonker Billy Dee
called When the Vow Breaks on Country Miles Records. It’s a good one. Other
releases making the Barndance hit parade for the 1st time included new ones from
Gene Watson (thumbs up!), The Outlaw Family Band, Chaz & the Motorbikes, John
Hiatt, Pernice Brothers, Big Blue Hearts, and T. Griffin Coraline. Buttshaker
of the night???? Bill Morgan with “Red Hot Rhythm Combo”. Now onto the
