Quiet times on the URI campus this time of year, so leave it to The Boudin Barndance to awaken the ghosts??? WTF. We did a radio show tonight, show #1047 and it’s still fun as anything. A live guest on the program this evening as we welcomed singer/songwriter Joe Flood (www.joeflood.net) during the last hour of the program. Joe has a new release out called New Kind of Blue (Lakeside Lounge Records), his 1st recording on these shores since 2001’s Cripplin’ Crutch. He came up to sing a few and talk about his upcoming CD release party which happens on Friday, July 30 at 8 pm at the Katharine Hepburn Theater in Old Saybrook, CT (www.thekate.org). Joining him will be the likes of Garth Hudson and Eric “Roscoe” Ambel along with lots of surprise guests. Be there! New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Asleep at the Wheel, local heroes Shacklehands, Sarah Jaffe, The Chapin Sisters, and of course, Mr. Flood. Buttshaker of the week???? Joe Flood doing it live with “Solitary Man”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
