A quiet night on The Boudin Barndance this evening which I’m thinking has a little something to do with the blast of heat and oppressive humidity. Nonetheless, the show must go. We previewed a couple of live events happening in the area on Saturday, Johnny Nicholas’s CD release party at The Knick in Westerly and Swamp Stomp IV which happens near The Great Swamp in West Kingston. The latter, produced by yours truly, features Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Patrick Sweany Band, Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Reasons, and Shacklehands. Grounds open at 1 and music begins at 2. Contact [email protected] for info. New releases from Amy LaVere, The Dex Romweber Duo, and Black Lips were in the spotlight to close out the show. Other new releases making their Barndance debut ths evening included albums from The David Mayfield Parade, The Habit, William Elliot Whitmore, Jolie Holland, and Jill Andrews.
