Well, this is the week of the World Voices World Visions camp at URI devoted to folk music, world music, folk dance and traditional arts. Like past years, we welcomed some of the guest artists onto the program. Playing live in the studio was Rhode Island-based blues legend Paul Geremia as well as the D.C. based duo Karen Ashbrook and Paul Oorts. In the new release spotlight was the recent Flatt & Scruggs and straight-up Scruggs reissues from Legacy Records. Clearly worth your while if you are any sort of fan of either. A bunch of new things making the Barndance hit parade for the first time. They included new ones from Marti Brom, Curly Seckler, Bobby Purify, Lee Ann Womack, and Benny Thomasson.
