A pretty darn busy evening on The Boudin Barndance tonight. We remembered steel player Ben Keith and songwriter Margaret Ann Rich (wife of Charlie) each of whom passed in the the last week. We featured music from some of the performers who will be at the Newport Folk Festival running Friday evening through Sunday. Did our 2nd feature of the “The Ponderosa Stomp: Detroit Breakdown” happening on Saturday (July 31) outdoors at Lincoln Center in NYC. Sounds like a killer day of music all for free. New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Bobby Bare Jr, Mike & Ruthy, Los Lobos, Mark Olson, Punch Brothers and Blitzen Trapper. Buttshaker of the week????
