Back in The Boudin Barndance saddle this week after some r& r in the Paciffic Northwest, namely Seattle, where the musical highlight was the Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter CD release party with The Sadies opening. Features tonight included a mini preview of this weekend’s outstanding lineup at the Roots of American Music Festival happening at Lincoln center as part of their Out of Doors series. Tied into the perview was a remembrance of the late Jim Dickinson who will be the topic of a discussion on Sunday afternoon of the festival. Monday marks the 2-year anniversary of his passing and we played a set of his music in remembrance. New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from T. Jarrod Bonta, Bottle Rockets, Arty Hill, Eric Hisaw, Limes, (reissue), Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Star Anna, and Kris Delmhorst. Buttshaker of the week????
