Another busy night night on The Boudin Barndance. In the forefront was a preview of music from Laura Cantrell who appears at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River on Saturday night (www.ncfta.org). We remembered legendary steel guitarist Don Helms who passed away earlier this week by playing a set of music showcasing his talents. We did a birthday set of music from Connie Smith and the late Buck Owens and Porter Wagoner. Finally, we closed out the show with a trio of tunes from Isaac Hayes who also passed away earlier this week. Lots of releases making their Barndance debuts tonight. They included new ones from Eric Hisaw, Chris Knight, Ben Weaver, Samantha Crain, Sammy Walker, Drew Emmitt, Eddie Floyd, Irma Thomas, and Wiley & the Checkmates. Buttshaker of the week???? She & Him with “I Was Made For You”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
