Back in The Boudin Barndance saddle tonight after a couple of weeks away venturing to Cleveland and the Hudson Valley. Felt good to get those wheels of steel turning again, though, the CD players are still finicky. Such is life, at least the studio was air conditioned on what has been a sweaty week in these parts. As for the show, we remembered the great Lynn Anderson who passed back on July 30. Did a mini preview and gave away tickets for the upcoming Rhythm & Roots Festival happening Sept 4-6 at Ningret Park in Charlestown, RI. Other than that we played the field. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Rayland Baxter, Phil Cook, Old Man Luedecke, Ana Egge, Warren Haynes, The Statesboro Revue, Patrick Sweany, Dustbowl Revival, Rod Picott, The Waifs, and Barrence Whitfield & the Savages.
