Back in the saddle after a week off for a trip out west for many tasty beers in Colorado. Come 6 pm and all ready to kick the show off and out goes the power in the building (and the whole campus, for that matter). Things were back up after an hour, so a shortened Boudin Barndance this evening. We did a few features, all previews of upcoming live shows. They included John Paul Keith who along with his 145s band plays a “porch” show hosted by yours truly on Saturday, local hero Bob Kendall who plays at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA on Friday night, and a mini preview of next weekend’s Rhythm & Roots Festival in Charlestown, RI (www.rhythmandroots.com). New and recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Beachwood Sparks, Rhett Miller, Rocky Volotato, Hugh Laurie, Golden Triangle, and The New Orleans Suspects.
