It’s been a wet one in these parts the last few days, but not enough to stop The Boudin Barndance. Classes back in session at URI, so the Union building hopping this evening. A mixed bag of stuff on tonight’s program. We did feature some tunes from Yo La Tengo who play The Met Cafe in Pawtucket on Saturday evening. A bunch of new and recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening including albums from The Mastersons, The Wronglers (with Jimmie Dale Gilmore), Bobby Flores, Lydia Loveless (big thumbs up!), The Hogtown Sessions, a new Buddy Holly tribute record from Verve Forecast Records, and Jonathan Wilson. Buttshaker of the week???? Brice Coefield who inspired the Detroit Cobras’ cover of “Cha-Cha Twist”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
