We welcomed singer/songwriter Duncan Walters (www.duncanwalters.com) onto the Boudin Barndance this evening. Splitting time between Texas and Massachusetts, Duncan is working the New England circuit promoting his new record Guardian. After Tommy Womack’s mind-blowing house concert in these parts last weekend, we kicked off the show with one from his thing with Will Kimbrough called Daddy followed by Tommy’s incredible “Alpha Male & the Canine Mystery Blood”. What a punch! New releases making it into the Barndance hit parade for the first time this gorgeous Southern New England evening included recordings from Daddy, Billy Joe Shaver, The Hickups, Mark Gamsjager & the Lustre Kings, local heroes Wrong Reasons, Tom Gillam, Jason Arnold, and Okkervil River. Buttshaker of the night????? Patrick Sweany with “Nobody Dance”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods…..
