Odds & ends, a belated birthday remembrance of Hank Williams and a quickie celebration of the late guitarist Jimmy Bryant were just some of the happenings on the Boudin Barndance this evening. Previewed a couple of live shows this weekend: Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles at The Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly on Saturday night and Tommy Womack at the Common Fence Point Community Hall, also on Saturday night. Recent releases making their Barndance debuts this evening included albums from Robert Plant, Ryan Bingham, James Hyland, Peter Cooper, Sahara Smith, Lynne Hanson, and Elizabeth McQueen. Buttshaker of the week???? Don Gardner slaying us with “My Baby Likes to Boogaloo”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
