A tale of two Boudin Barndances this evening. The first couple of hours were devoted to a mix of the new and the old. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time tonight included albums from Lucy Kaplansky, Trapper Schoepp & the Shades, Holly Golightly & the Brokeoffs, and the Dirty River Boys. We devoted our last hour to a preview of the 4th annual Super Dooper Guitar Party happening on Saturday, October 13, at the German Club in Pawtucket, R.I. We welcomed the fellow spearheading the event, The Colonel himself, Johnny Maguire, to talk up the evening which is equal parts music event and guitar show. Headlining this year is the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion! Other performers include Bloodshot Bill, Jittery Jack, The Atlantic Thrills, Loose Salute, and Boo City. Doors open at 5 pm.
