First week of October and still in the 70s in these parts. Keep it comin’ is all I can say. An odds and ends night on the Boudin Barndance this evening. Ladies dominated the first two sets. Featured a set of music from Dale Watson in honor of his upcoming birthday. Broke out lots of new releases, as well. First-timers to the Barndance hit parade included new releases from Joy Lynn White, Betty LaVette, Susan Cowsill, Shaun Young, Jerry Douglas, Bobby Earl Smith, Sprague Bros, and the South Austin Jug Band. Buttshaker of the night???? Shaun Young takes the honors with “Get It Got It Good”. Now onto the goods…..
