The Autumn chill is moving in, so all the more reason to hang in on a Thursday night and soak up The Boudin Barndance. We played the field tonight. Did feature some music from Susan Cowsill who plays the Narrows in Fall River on Saturday and The Knickerbocker in Westerly on Sunday night. Did an album spotlight this evening shining the light on Volume 1 of the vinyl reissue from Mississippi Records of Alan Lomax’s “Southern Journey” series of field recordings. It’s one of 5 and the usual Mississippi Records coolness. New stuff getting aired on the Barndance for the first time tonight included releases from Lucky Peterson, The City Champs, local band The Benedictions, and Doug Paisley. Buttshaker of the week???? Rolls Royce & the Wheels with the risqué “Topless”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods….
