Coming up NEXT WEEK (Nov. 28) Boudin Barndance, our 15th annual Thanksgiving night Doug Sahm tribute show. All things Doug for three full hours from 6-9 PM EST!

One of them busy nights on The Boudin Barndance. Two big spotlights, one a happy event and another a sad note. On the happy side, we celebrated the brand new Bloodshot Records deluxe reissue of the first two albums from the Pride of Festus, MO, the Bottle Rockets. Those two records were fixtures on the Barndance upon release in ’93 & ’94, respectively, and stood the test of time beautifully. On the sad side, we remembered the great Boston rock & roller Charlie Chesterman who lost his battle with cancer at the beginning of the month. His album “Studebakersfield” is dessert island disc material to this dj. Albums making their Barndance debut this evening included new ones from Jim Lauderdale (two new albums), Stewart Eastham, Mascott, and of course the Bottle Rockets reissue. Buttshaker of the week???? Being a Bottle Rockets night, how can we resist “Every Kinda Everything”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods………
