The 1st Boudin Barndance of December was a fun one and devoid of any holiday fare. (We’ll hold off on that until the 12/22 show.) Previewed some upcoming live shows in the area with the big focus on Justin Townes Earle who plays the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA on Sunday evening with Tristen in the opening slot. A bunch of new and recent releases making their Barndance debuts this evening including albums from D. Charles Speer & the Helix, The Poison Oaks, Donal Hinley, Willie Nelson, John Howie Jr & the Rosewood Bluff, Nick Lowe, John Doe, and the latest addition to The Numero Group’s Eccentric Soul series focusing on the Chicago-based Nickel & Penny labels.
