It’s been pretty cold around here with loads of snow on the ground and the first Boudin Barndance of February aimed to cure those winter doldrums with the return of our mid-Winter surf music spectacular. Splashy tunes from a host of artists filled the final hour of the program. Prior to that, we began with a first hour of mostly new and recent releases before launching into the weekly C&W segment, followed by a remembrance of The Day the Music Died, Feb 3, 1959, and the passing of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper. New albums and singles this evening came from Crooked Fingers, Joe Pernice, Belle White, Cat Clyde, Michelle David & The True Tones, Anna Tivel, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and Meels. Buttshaker of the week???? We go surf with “Church Key” from The Trashmen.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or two and get to the goods….
