Rainy Thursday nights are perfect for listening to The Boudin Barndance. It sure seemed like that tonight given the amount of phone calls we received. Go figure! Anyway, other than a mini preview of Laura Cantrell who with her band plays a house concert hosted by yours truly on Saturday night, it was an evening of odds and ends with mostly a country flavor. New releases making their Barndance debut on tonight’s show included albums from Kelly Pardekooper, Jonathan Byrd, Elliot Brood, Jimbo Mathus (reissue), Steve Gunn, and JD McPherson. Buttshaker of the week???? Luke Winslow King with a New Orleans flavored shaker called “Cadillac Slim”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
