A pretty full plate on this evening’s Boudin Barndance. We continued our monthly salute to 20 years in the record-making business for Bloodshot Records with two full sets of tunes from notable October releases from the Chicago-based concern (and there are a slew of them). We remembered Nashville-based songwriter Paul Craft who passed away the week before last. New releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time included albums from Ronnie Fauss, Jimmy Ryan, Arty Hill, Shelby Lynne (reissue), Christian Lopez Band, and Willow Willow. Buttshaker of the week???? Keepin’ in the Bloodshot spirit, Charlie Pickett with the burner called “America on Horseback”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
