Holy smokes it is cold here. We are in the midst of an old-fashioned winter and hopefully this evening’s Boudin Barndance was able to warm your world some. Our “Album You Need to Hear” feature returned with the spotlight on Willie Nelson’s 1975 classic Red Headed Stranger. Being a concept album necessary to devour whole, we devoted two sets to tracks from it. The show began with our usual hour of mostly new and recent releases before launching in to the weekly C&W segment, followed by our features and then various odds and ends to close the evening. New albums and singles this evening came from Ye Vagabonds, The Milk Carton Kids, Tim Easton, Courtney Barnett, Kashus Culpepper,Julianna Riolino, Caroline Spence, Charlotte Cornfield, and Leah Blevins. Buttshaker of the week???? A little soul-shaking Detroit soul with “I Can’t Hold On” from Lorraine Chandler.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or two and get to the goods….
