We marked 36 years of The Boudin Barndance with this evening’s show and also continued our new periodic feature called “Alt Country: A to Z.” Its focus is the prime period of the era from the late 1980s into the early aughts. I lived and DJ-ed through it all, so my library is pretty extensive. We are presenting it on a somewhat periodic basis during the 8-9 pm segment of the show and continued it this week with Part 1 of “B” artists. Prior to that, it was primarily new stuff the first hour before moving to our C&W segment followed by some musical odds and ends before diving into Alt Country: A to Z. Albums and singles making their Barndance debut tonight came from Jeffrey Silverstein, Angelica Rockne, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley, and the Waco Brothers. Buttshaker of the week???? Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys with “Jumpin’ from 6 to 6.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
