Another sparkling night in these parts on this Thursday evening, so if you listened locally hopefully you got outside to do so and enjoy the dandy weather. Featured all new releases our first hour before moving into our weekly C&W segment. We featured music from Nick Lowe who along with his backing band Los Straitjackets play the Narrows in Fall River on Saturday and then Tanglewood on Sunday. The legendary swamp pop artist Tommy McLain opens the Narrows show, so we played a few from him and then went into a Louisiana thing before closing with a mix of blues and soul. New music making its Barndance debut tonight included Bonny Light Horseman (single), Andrew Bird, Patty Griffin, The Deslondes (single), Hank Williams Jr, The Harlem Gospel Travelers (single), and Eric Ambel. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday boy Clifton Chenier with “Frog Legs.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or three, and get to the goods….
