Summer has truly arrived here in R.I., at least as far as hot temps and humidity go. Since 2008 I have produced a rambunctious little music festival called Swamp Stomp. This Saturday would have been our 13th annual and we could not have been any prouder of a lineup featuring The Sadies, Sarah Borges, Laura Cantrell, Tarbox Ramblers, & Tom Heyman w/ Wire Troop. Then came the pandemic. On this evening’s show we dedicated the final hour to “R.I.P. Swamp Stomp 13” featuring music from all those scheduled to play. Here’s hoping we can just do the same way next year! Before all that, it was pure fun and games. New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums John Craigie, Charley Crockett (single), and James Elkington. Buttshaker of the week???? Boy, do we love The Sadies and boy do we love their over of “Loved On Look.” Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
