Finally some relief in these parts the last two days after being roasted for what seems like weeks. Hopefully you got to hear this evening’s program which began on a new music note before moving to our weekly C&W segment which we extended to include a couple of sets of Buck Owens music in honor of his birthday this week. We closed with a bunch of Louisiana stuff highlighted by a track from the upcoming Tommy McLain album. As for new things, we shined the spotlight on the terrific new John Anderson tribute album from Easy Eye Sound Records called Something Borrowed, Something New. Other new releases making their Barndance debut tonight came from Neighbor Lady and a single from Jake Blount who plays the R.I. Folk festival on August 28. Buttshaker of the week????
