March 26th was the last time I did a show from the WRIU studio. Until this evening, that is. After 5+ months of prerecording the Boudin Barndance, it felt oh-so-good to do a live program in the flesh from the studio. Spontaneity ruled as it always did before the COVID shut us down. On the agenda? New things and old things, birthday salutes with a whole set for George Jones, and just generally playin’ the field. Thanks for all the welcome-back phone calls and FB posts. A little more normalcy in my and hopefully your world! New releases making their Barndance debut tonight included albums from Colter Wall, Tennessee Jet, Girls on Grass (single), Avett Brothers, and Bettye LaVette. Buttshaker of the week???? Birthday boy George Jones with “Aching, Breaking Heart. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or three, and get to the goods….
