The first Boudin Barndance of April, so that’s pretty special, I guess. Some day it’s going to warm up a tad here, but not today. Hence the need for TBB to stoke the fires of listener-land with our usual potpourri. The big event this evening was previewing the excellent new album from local heroes & treasure Brown Bird who celebrate with a release party at The Met Café in Pawtucket tomorrow evening. Also previewed the Carolina Chocolate Drops show at Lupo’s in Providence on Sunday night. Lots of new and recent albums making their Barndance debut this evening including releases from Anais Mitchell & Jefferson Hamer, Kacey Musgraves, Billy Bragg, Milk Carton Kids, Kingsley Flood, Deadstring Brothers, Hiss Golden Messenger, Night Beds, Javi Garcia, Phosphorescent, and the new John Denver tribute album.
