An mixed bag night on the Boudin Barndance this evening. We remembered the late Waylon Jennings with a set of tunes in honor of his birthday. Featured a few from the new release from Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles who play a CD release show at the Narrows in Fall River, MA on Friday night. Check out www.ncfta.org. Someone requested some surf music a few weeks ago and payback time came tonight with a set of the traditional stuff. Recent releases making the Barndance hit parade for the inaugural time included new ones from Eilen Jewell, David Serby, Jeffrey Halford & the Healers, Michael Fracasso, Nick Lowe, John Doe, and The Basement. Buttshaker of the night????? Ex-Shangs Mary Weiss from her terrific comeback album with the ultra-catchy “Tell Me What You Want Me To Do”. Now let’s all have a cold one and get to the goods…..
