Festival Alert:
Green River Festival, July 8-10,
We were off last week, but The Boudin Barndance was back in the saddle tonight with a bluegrass, country, and rock & roll vengeance. Since our last show we lost two greats in Ralph Stanley and Scotty Moore. We saluted each on tonight’s program along with the usual Barndance mash-up. Also did a mini preview set of our upcoming Swamp Stomp 9 music fest (see link above) happening July 16 and which has a scant number of tickets left. First-time Barndance spins went out tonight to new albums from the likes of The Earls of Leicester, Bryan Sutton, Dallas Wayne, Landon Dodd, the new Heart of Texas salute to Kitty Wells, Anthony D’Amato, and a flash from the Rhode Island rock & roll past via Woonsocket with Florian Monday and his Mondos. Buttshaker of the week???? The aforementioned Florian Monday with “Rip It, Rip It Up”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
