A week with no guests and no features which was kind of a relief. Odds and ends ruled with honky tonk and hillbilly dominating the 1st half of the show. Lots of new releases making the Barndance hit parade for the first time. They included recordings from Bobby Flores, Jeremy Wakefield, Chris Scruggs, The Knitters, Howard Fishman, Stephen Bruton, Delbert McClinton, and Texas bluesman Johnny Nicholas who wraps up his annual summer pilgrimage to Rhode Island with a gig at Black-Eyed Sally’s in Hartford on Saturday night. Buttshaker of the night???? Teddy Humphries from a King 7″ with “Guitar Pickin’ Fool”. Now onto the goods…..

Oh yeah, a heads up that next Thursday, August 4 we will welcome Jim & Jennie & the Pinetops to the Boudin Barndance. They are planned to be on during the 8 – 9 PM EST portion of the show, so tune in.
