Back in the Barndance saddle after a week off and some r&r in the Adirondacks.
Previewed this weekend’s Newport Folk Festival happening at the Fort Adams State
Park in Newport (www.newportfolk.com). Caught up on some new releases with
first time spins for new albums from The Meat Purveyors, Bill Passalaqua,
Eleven-Hundred Springs, Chrissy Flatt, Knut Bell, and The Mammals. Also
previewed a bunch of tracks from the new Johnny Paycheck tribute “Touch My
Heart” from the folks at Sugar Hill Records. Oh yeah, also featured some cuts
from Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater who appears at the Catfish Grill in Warwick, RI
on Saturday night. Buttshaker of the night????? Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater
