What with today being Buck Owens’ birthday and all, it was kind of a non-brainer
as far as features were concerned on the Boudin Barndance tonight, hence a big
long set from Buck in honor of his 75th. Lots of new things also finding their
into the playlist tonight. Barndance first-timers included new or recent
releases from Jon Dee Graham, Alecia Nugent, Drive-By Truckers, Li’l Cap’n
Travis, Nels Andrews, the Hoyle Brothers (who blew me away at SXSW), and the
Alejandro Escovedo tribute “Por Vida”. Buttshaker of the night????? Let’s
