A night of this and that on The Boudin Barndance. Nothing big on the agenda, just mixing it up and hopefully to our audience’s satisfaction. Our Facebook page was sure busy, so that ‘s always a good sign. Did our usual country music birthday remembrances with Hank Williams and Gram Parsons the kingpins this week. A bunch of new releases making their Barndance debuts this evening including the highly recommended album from Hiss Golden Messenger along with records from The Earle of Leicester, Auldridge-Douglas-Ickes, Lucinda Williams, the tribute album Dead Man’s Town, Sons of Bill (also highly recommended), and Chuck Prophet. Buttshaker of the week???? A bump and grinder called “Mr. Starlight” from Michael Tarbox. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
