Been since early summer that it rained on a Thursday in these parts. Today broke the streak and it meant a good night to hang at home and catch The Boudin Barndance, which hopin’ lots of you did. Another busy night. We continued our monthly salute to 20 years in the record-making business for the Bloodshot record label with a set of tunes from notable September releases from the Chicago-based concern (and there are a ton of them). We previewed several upcoming area shows including Imelda May (at Lupo’s on Saturday night), Tim Easton (playing a house concert hosted by yours truly tomorrow evening), and Sean Rowe (at the Columbus Theater in Providence next Thursday). New releases making their Barndance debut this evening included albums from Sean Rowe, Pieta Brown, Hal Ketchum, Wayne Haught, and Luke Winslow-King. Buttshaker of the week???? A screamer from Ike & Tina Turner with “He’s the One”. Now let’s all grab a cold one, or two, and get to the goods….
