As a result of some travel, a little late to the switch on getting last Thursday’s Boudin Barndance playlist out to y’all. Believe me, there a good excuse. Anyway, it was mostly an odds and ends program, though, we did preview Dan Hicks’ Xmas show which happened at the Met Cafe on Saturday night and featured some tracks from the upcoming album called “White Lighter” from local hero Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Reasons. Believe me when I tell ya, it’s really, really good. (Joe will be on the Barndance tomorrow night (December 9).) Recent releases making their Barndance debut this evening included recordings from Reverend John Wilkins (big thumbs up), the aforementioned Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Reasons, Chocolate Genius, Rusty Willoughby, and John Wesley Coleman. Buttshaker of the week???? Let’s give it to the late grandma guitar slasher Cordell Jackson with “Johnny Cash Train”. Now let’s all grab a cold one and get to the goods…
