Another busy night in Boudin Barndance land. Birthday remembrances for Hank
Williams and George Jones and a RIP remembrance of Gram Parsons set the tone for
the 1st set of the evening. Also remembered Johnny Bragg of Prisonaires fame
who passed away in Nashville at the beginning of the month. Several new
releases making the Barndance playlist for the 1st time including fresh ones
from Kevn Kinney and Charlie Robison as well as the 2003 Austin City Limits
Festival live compilation and a collection of circa-1979 recordings by Stonewall
Jackson made for Little Darlin’ Records. Buttshaker of the night????? A darn
fine country shuffle tune titled “What’s the Use” from Thad Cockrell. Now onto
the goods…..
