A busy night on the Boudin Barndance. First and foremost, what with the
one-year anniversary of his passing coming up on Sunday, we remembered Johnny
Cash this evening by closing the show out with a half hour of tunes from The Man
in Black. Previewed (& gave away tickets) to a couple of shows coming up
Saturday and Monday evenings, respectively, at the Narrows Center for the Arts
in Fall River, MA, that being Ollabelle and Deke Dickerson. Check out for the complete skinny. A ton of new releases making the
Barndance hit parade for the 1st time on this evening’s program. This included
releases from Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Chuck Prophet, Big Mama Thornton with
the Muddy Waters Blues Band (reissue), Laurie Lewis & Tom Rozum, The
Carburetors, Tift Merritt, Steve Earle, The 45s, Kevin Montgomery, Slim Cessna,
Cowboy Jack Clement, and a David Allan Coe “Essential” collection. Buttshaker
