Sun Apr 19 Tom White Project 7/8pm $20 Tom White Project is the brainchild of RI-based pianist, composer, and URI Music Department alumnus Tom White. After composing chiefly for trio and quartet for over fifteen years, Tom decided to challenge himself to write music specifically tailored and arranged for sextet. In addition to his longtime trio partners Jim Nordhill (drums) and Tom Casale (bass), White recruited Jim Robitaille on guitar as well as URI Jazz Faculty members Mark Berney (trumpet) and John McKenna (saxophone).
