UPCOMING SPECIAL BOUDIN BARNDANCE SHOW INFO:
April 6-20 – WRIU RADIOTHON fundraiser!
April 23– Album You Need to Hear feature

More show than we could fit into The Boudin Barndance this evening, but we did it. It all began, as usual, with an hour of mostly new and recent releases followed by the weekly C&W segment. We offered up a St. Patrick’s Day “hangover” set to kick off the 2nd half of the program. Our “Album You Need to Hear” feature was back with the spotlight on the 1993 debut solo album “The Old New Me” from the late Slim Dunlap of Replacements fame. It has just recently seen reissue as a collection that also includes his 1996 follow-up album (https://curationrecords.com/pages/slim-dunlap). Finally, we remembered two fallen heroes in Augie Meyers of Sir Douglas Quintet and Texas Tornados fame and the masterful Rhode Island-based blues artist Paul Geremia each of whom passed in the last few weeks. New albums and singles this evening came from The Montvales, Deer Tick, Alela Diane, Liam Kazar, Crooked Fingers, Cut Worms, and Mikaela Davis. Hope you were able to listen, but if not check out the LISTEN link above to check out the archive. Buttshaker of the week???? Texas Tornados with (Hey Baby) Que Paso” with Augie himself doing the honors.” Now let’s all grab a cold one or two and get to the goods….
