It is the first week of our Radiothon fundraiser at WRIU and this evening was the Boudin Barndance edition. First off, thank you to all who called in or pledged online for your support. Also, a big tip of the cap to Liz and Paul for manning the phones. Also want to thank Mike at University of Illinois Press for the donation of a couple of copies of the Rob Miller memoir to use as pledge incentives. The calls were pretty steady throughout the evening and nice to see so many familiar names. WRIU Radiothon continues through April 20, so we’ll be doing it next week, in a much more passive fashion, on The Boudin Barndance. If you missed it, you can still make a donation by going to the WRIU homepage and either clicking on the radiothon image on the page or on the DONATE button at the top of the page. As for tonight’s show, it was a series of mostly two-song sets interspersed with lots of plugging for the fundraiser. New albums and singles this evening came from Willie Nelson, Alela Diane, Calder Allen, Big Richard, Tony Trischka, and Paul Cauthen.
