Back in the DJ chair tonight to serve up the first Boudin Barndance show of our upcoming 40th year. Holy smokes! Our “Album you need to hear” feature returned tonight with the microscope on the 1993 release Tonic from Hoboken-based The Health & Happiness Show released on Bar/None Records. Prior to that was a first hour of new releases followed by the weekly C&W segment. More new stuff kicked off the 2nd half of the program before our feature and then we close with solid odds and ends. New albums and singles this evening came from Kevin Morby, SG Goodman, John R. Miller, The Deslondes, Jobi Riccio, Charlie Marie, tribute Old No. 1 Revisited, Deer Tick, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Black Keys, and Frank “The Wild Jalapeno” Rodarte. Great show, Dan! The A side of the “Stand By Your Man” album is just so great that I don’t think I flipped to the B-side for a couple of years! “I’ve Stayed Long Enough” has always been one of my favs. I believe it was the only song on that masterpiece that Tammy wrote herself.
