Tonight’s feature was a look at twang from the Tar Heel State with a focus on the many bands originating during the alt country heyday from the mid-1990s into the aughts. We’ll save the present Carolina alt country scene until a later show. Prior to that was our usual first hour of new releases followed by the weekly C&W segment before diving into our feature the final half of the program. New albums and singles this evening came from Alela Diane, The Deslondes, Caroline Rose, Abby Jean & the Shadow Band, Low Cut Connie, Jim Lauderdale, Maya de Vitry, and Joey Quinones.
